This Privacy Policy applies to our web app and iOS app (together, the "App") and is governed by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1.1 Information You Provide When you create an account or use the App, we may collect: • Email address (required for account creation and login) • First and last name (required) • Mobile phone number (optional, for SMS reminders only) • Location (optional, used to calculate local moon phase times) • Journal entries (stored privately and accessible only to you) • Birth chart data including date, time, and place of birth (optional) 1.2 Information Collected Automatically When you use the App, we may collect: • Device type, operating system, and browser type • App usage data and feature interactions • Cookies and local storage data used for theme and display preferences 1.3 Payment Information We use Stripe to process subscription payments. We do not store your credit card details. All payment information is handled directly by Stripe in accordance with their privacy policy and PCI-DSS compliance standards.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to: • Create and manage your account • Deliver the journalling, manifestation tracking, and astrological features of the App • Personalise your experience based on moon phase timing and, if provided, your birth chart • Send optional email or SMS reminders (only if you have opted in) • Process subscription payments via Stripe • Improve the App through anonymised usage analytics • Respond to your support requests or enquiries We do not use your journal entries, birth chart data, or personal information for advertising purposes. We do not sell your data to third parties.
3. Third-Party Services
3.1 Stripe: Used to process subscription payments. We receive confirmation of your subscription status but do not receive or store your full payment details. 3.2 Google OAuth: You may choose to sign in using Google OAuth. If you do, we receive your name and email address from Google to create or access your account only. 3.3 Analytics and Hosting: We may use third-party analytics tools to understand how the App is used, using anonymised and aggregated data.
4. Cookies and Local Storage
We use cookies and local storage to remember your theme and display preferences within the App. These are stored on your device and are not used to track you across other websites or services. You can clear local storage through your browser or device settings at any time.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain certain records. Journal entries and birth chart data are deleted upon account deletion. Anonymised, non-identifiable usage data may be retained for analytical purposes.
6. Your Rights
Under Australian privacy law, you have the right to: • Access the personal information we hold about you • Request correction of any information that is inaccurate or out of date • Request deletion of your account and associated personal data • Opt out of email or SMS reminders at any time • Withdraw consent for optional data collection (such as location or birth chart data) To exercise any of these rights, please contact us. We will respond within 30 days.
7. Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access. Your journal entries are stored privately and are not accessible to other users. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. While we do our best to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to remove it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or a notice within the App before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the App after that date constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
